Goal of this video: showing what I have already build and demonstrating what the OpenEergyMonitor project is capable of.
It starts with a view of an electrical cabinet where a CT-sensor is clipped on the main wire. This sensor is connected to a emonTx which measures the electricity usage and transmits the data to a a base station (a NanodeRF in this case). The base station sends this data to the internet where it is processed. A laptop that is logged in to an online application shows a graph that visualizes the energy usage in real-time. This is proven by turning on some electrical devices in the room and showing the change in the graph.
