Together with Daniel and Thomas, I took part in a visualising marathon in London which was organized by Visualising.org last weekend. We met other students with different backgrounds and learned more about data visualization. We somehow survived the 24hour-marathon flawlessly and even explored the city afterwards. Our visualization is made in Processing and communicates the feeling of UK citizens towards the London Olympic Games in 2012 (this dataset was given). The spheres constitute the main perceived advantages and disadvantages that the games will bring to the United Kingdom. The Surface area of the spheres represents the percentage of the population that agrees with that given statement. The blue spheres represent the positive statements while the red ones represent the negative statements.
